Google\’s free email service GMAIL was shut down in parts of India on Tuesday afternoon, forcing users to send or receive emails. #GmailDown is trending on Twitter due to GMAIL service outage. Many users on Twitter are telling that its service is down and many are complaining. Last week, social media platform Facebook also faced an outage. On the night of October 4, Facebook along with Instagram and WhatsApp were down for 8 hours.

According to outage tracking tool Down Detector, 68% of users reported website difficulties, 14% reported server connection issues, and 12% indicated a login issue.
Trouble sending and receiving email
There are reports of GMAIL not working from some parts of India. Because of this people are not able to send or receive emails. Along with India, users from some other countries have also made such complaints on Twitter. They are also having problems with GMAIL login and sending/receiving emails. Many users are also writing about GMAIL service being down. However, no response has come from Google about this so far.
Users were upset due to the closure of Facebook
Facebook faced two outages a week ago. After which Facebook reportedly also apologized. At the beginning of the week, when there was a Facebook outage, along with Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram were also down. The problem of outage persisted even after a lapse of several hours, in such a situation that people were not able to send or receive messages.

Telegram benefits due to the closure of WhatsApp, adds 70 million users
When WhatsApp went down on October 5, 70 million users were connected to the Telegram app. The Facebook outage was the main reason behind this huge success of Telegram. Actually, on the same day in the evening, WhatsApp and Instagram including Facebook were also closed. which remained closed for more than 6 hours. Telegram benefited from the closure of these platforms. The number of monthly active users on Telegram has crossed 500 million (500 million).
