Infinix Hot 8 Review, AnTuTu Benchmark Score, Pros and Cons, Specification

There is a lot of competition between the many phone companies that make budget and mid-range phones. A stack of phones with almost the same features makes it hard to pick out the best one. There are so many of them. One of these phones is the Infinix Hot 8, which has a good design and can be thus praised for its design, especially given the price of the phone when it first came out.

Indians can buy the Hot 8 light, the Hot 8 2GB/64GB, and the 4GB/64GB. The device has all of the features that budget smartphone users want in a device. Check out also our Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Review.

Infinix Hot 8 Camera

As for the Infinix Hot 8, there is support for a two-camera setup (as per the processor). However, there is also support for a third camera, which raises the question of whether Infinix did this just to be able to call the phone three cameras or whether there is actually a good reason to do so.

People who use mid-range phones are used to seeing features like panorama and HDR in the camera app on Infinix Hot 8. To make you feel like you\’re not using a cheap phone, AI Cam, Beauty, Bokeh, AR Shot, Panorama, HDR, and Panorama are all available.

Despite the fact that it says it has AI help, the Infinix Hot 8\’s camera doesn\’t pick out the best scenes. There are a lot of times when it doesn\’t know what it\’s looking at. However, the pictures it takes are of very good quality. If you want to take better selfies and portraits, you can use high dynamic range photography (HDR). This type of photography can help to some degree.

Even though the bokeh tool works well and maintains a balance between the object and the blurred background, you may come across photos where the object has been mapped in the wrong place in the picture.

Infinix Hot 8 Battery

The Infinix Hot 8 is equipped with a massive 5000 mAh battery, which is capable of providing an astounding amount of battery life when combined with the 720 px display. The battery was depleted by 9 percent after an hour of YouTube streaming via mobile data. However, increasing the brightness to its maximum setting and inserting both SIM cards into the device increased the batterydrainage within the same time frame.

We weren\’t able to check it out on Netflix because the app does not support this device. Despite the fact that it is not even listed on the Google Play store, it cannot be manually installed without resulting in an error notice. Despite this, its battery outperformed the competition when it came to data-hungry apps.

When we used it moderately, we were able to get by for one and a half days using every social media app, including Instagram, Tiktok and Facebook as well as YouTube and movies, WhatsApp and SoundCloud streaming, calling, a few images and an FM radio station, among other things.

Infinix Hot 8 Performance

So, because it\’s a cheap phone, we shouldn\’t expect top-notch performance. However, it can run a lot of high-quality games smoothly if they\’re played with low graphics settings. This kind of multitasking has no effect on the processor\’s performance, and it lets things run smoothly. A game like Subway Surfers or a game like Real Racing 3 can run well.

When you play PUBG, you can only choose between smooth and balanced graphics. However, when you choose the \’colourful\’ style, it stutters. It\’s best to play on the lower settings instead of the higher ones. Call of Duty, Asphalt Nitro, and Deer Hunter were all playable, but this doesn\’t mean that everything is butter smooth. It happened to us that the frame would dip from time to time.

People should use the game mode instead of the \”cleaner\” app, which is designed to stop or restart apps and free up memory. That\’s not what you want.

Infinix Hot 8 Design

The Infinix Hot 8 is not a phone with very few bezels, but because the screen is so big, they don\’t look very different. Even though the chin takes up too much space, it doesn\’t look bad. The volume and power keys are on the right side of the device, and you can reach them with your thumb.

The speaker grille is now on the left side of the micro USB port. Unfortunately, this means that when the phone is held in landscape mode, the speaker is covered by the hand, which means that when you play games, the sound is muted.

The back of the phone is made of a single piece of polycarbonate that comes in two different colours. Infinix has given us a printed silicone cover (in the box) to help us deal with the smudge-situation.

Across the left-most edge, there is a three-camera set-up with a quad-LED flash that is arranged vertically. We also get a fingerprint scanner on the back, which isn\’t too far to reach.

Infinix Hot 8 Display

A 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen is the first thing that draws your attention. It\’s a big phone. It has a screen that is 720 x 1600 pixels and has a 20:9 ratio. The Infinix Hot 8 has a water-drop notch at the top, which also has an 8MP front-facing camera with a flash. The LED flash can only be seen when it is blinking.

When it comes to the display, Infinix has done a great job with its 720p screen on this phone. Despite the fact that it isn\’t as sharp as other phones in this price range, it still manages to get the user\’s attention with almost sharp icons and clear text. As long as it\’s above the halfway point, the screen isn\’t too bad to look at, but when it\’s in full sunlight, it looks bad.

Infinix Hot 8 AnTuTu Benchmark Score

Infinix Hot 8 AnTuTu benchmark score is 92,074.

As of the 6th of January in 2022, it outperforms 51 percent of mobile phones in the world. You can compare its performance to that of  Realme C2.

Infinix Hot 8 Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Large display
  • Decent Camera
  • Great Design
  • Decent battery life (5,000 mAh)
  • Conventionally Placed Fingerprint Scanner

Cons

  • Bloatware (Lots of it)
  • No Type-C port
  • Average front cameras (Not good at all)
  • Laggy UI (Due to a slow A22 Chipset)
  • Average Performance (Again due to A22 chipset)

Conclusion

The Infinix Hot 8 has a good-looking design and a decent-quality MediaTek chipset called Helio A22. It can do most things that people do every day without a problem. But if you forget to change the visual settings on the device, it will slow down when you play a lot of games. Performance isn\’t too bad but it isn\’t good either. During our tests, the gadget didn\’t take high-quality pictures, which is what we had hoped for from a smartphone in the budget market.
